Gainax -.- 新世紀エヴァンゲリオン

During the height of popularity of the Neon Genesis Evangelion (Shin Seiki Evangelion) anime abroad, I had the chance to support friends releasing English versions of Japanese games and to tag along when they visited Gainax to discuss the release of the Neon Genesis Evangelion CD-ROMs in the UK. The meeting was with Gainax president, Takeshi Sawamura. The walk through the head office to the president's office was my first impression of a Japanese office: cramped, small desks and lots of paperwork. Of course we had to take our shoes off and, as usual, the provided slippers were very small so both my friend and I felt embarrassed entering the meeting with our feet only half-way in the slippers. ^_^;;
